Hyde Park Neighbourhood Events

There are all sorts of things going on in the the Hyde Park area every week. We will try to keep you posted about them all and provide links to the various venues in the neighbourhood. If you are organising any public event, please let us know and we can advertise it here.

We would like to invite you down to our community action day at the Rosebank on Sunday 28th of Feb 12-3pm.

Leeds Beckett Students Union, Hyde Park Source, Little Woodhouse Community Association and All Hallows Church will be working together to put on a day of Conservation activities and Litter picking in Hyde Park, and FOOD!
Get yourself down and get stuck in!

We are inviting everyone down to try out some activities, help out, and join the Litter Pick Relay. Come down and have a great time, meet some new people, say hello to neighbours, and learn about what's happening in Hyde Park!

Teams of litter pickers will be needed and we will be holding a competition. Pay As You Feel Café will be providing food at All Hallows Café.

Leeds Planning Network Masterclass- Tuesday 1st March, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

"Neighbourhood Planning: Impact on Development" - Old Broadcasting House, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds LS2 9EN.

Inner North West Community Committee Meeting - Thursday 3rd March, 7pm til 9pm

Woodsley Road Community Centre, LS3 1DU.
There will be an open forum where members of the public can raise issues with their local councillors (but we don't know if this will be at the beginning or end of the meeting.) Councillors will also be making formal decisions about which projects they will allocate wellbeing funds to for 2016/17, and looking back on the Inner North West children's and young people's engagement event held at Leeds Uni in January.

'Bassoonery' concert in aid of Wheatfields Hospice - Saturday 5th March, 7.30pm

All Hallows Church, Regent Terrace LS6 1NP.

Pay as you feel pre-concert dinner available from 5.30pm at All Hallows Real Junk Food Café - booking for dinner required ( email emma@cafe.allhallowsleeds.org.uk )

Good Friday Easter Clean-Up - Friday 25th March, setting off around midday

more details to follow, but probably something like: starting at Wrangthorn Church (on Hyde Park Corner), making a stop at Hyde Park Methodist Church (next to Leeds Grand Mosque) and finishing at All Hallows - picking up rubbish en route, and at the different church stops, reading bits of the Passion of Christ and having refreshments/tea/lunch. It will have a Christian flavour to it but anyone who fancies / doesn't mind that is welcome to join in!!
